WiMAX is a standards-based broadband wireless technology that provides Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) connectivity. Based on the IEEE 802.16 and ETSI HiperMAN standard, WiMAX has been built from the ground up as a robust, high bandwidth and long range wireless networking technology.
EION is architecting the next generation of WiMAX products with a clear evolution path to mobility. The LIBRA MAX is designed to be a carrier class Base Station (BS) for deployment in a broadband wireless network. The LIBRA MAX will be the foundation of a new line of products that will cover W-OFDM communication in the frequency range from 1 to 11 GHz and bandwidths from 3.5 to 14 MHz.
